Power Project CG Wins Order for Power Transformer from NTPC

Avantha Group Company CG has been awarded with a prestigious contract by National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), for the design, manufacturing and supply of Generator Step-Up Transformers for its largest capacity, 800 MW super-critical thermal power plant at Darlipali, Odisha.

Mumba/Indiai - The order comprises 315 MVA 765kV single phase Generator Step-Up (GSU) Transformers, 85 MVA 765 kV Tie Transformers and 80 MVAR Shunt Reactors. The project is scheduled to be completed in thirty-two months. In addition to many orders of Generator Step-Up Transformers (GSU) and Interconnecting Transformers (ICT), this order for the highest rating of GSU transformers, puts CG on a strong footing as the strongest player in the UHV segment.
