Two trade fairs for mechanical processing technology offer the key to growth markets in the Far East: the Powder & Bulk Solids India Exhibition & Conference (PBSI) will open its doors in Mumbai from 13 to 15 October 2016. And one week later, from 19 to 21 October, Shanghai will be the venue for the International Powder & Bulk Solids Processing Conference & Exhibition (IPB).
Nuremberg/Germany – The Powder & Bulk Solids India Exhibition & Conference (PBSI) is taking place for the sixth time in In 2015, 78 exhibitors from eight countries came to Mumbai to display a wide range of systems and technologies for mixing, pulverising, conveying and analysing powder and bulk solids. Around 2,000 trade fair visitors and conference delegates exchanged views on technical challenges and their solutions. In the follow-up to the PBSI, more than 80 per cent of exhibitors confirmed that they had been able to identify a good or excellent market potential in India for their products at the fair. This confirmed the trade's claim of being the most important event for processing technology and bulk solids handling on the Indian sub-continent.
Hans-Heinrich Westphal, Managing Director of MBA Instruments, also regarded his company's participation in the fair as worthwhile: "2016 was our third time in Mumbai and we are highly satisfied with the response so far. The Powder & Bulk Solids India is a fantastic platform for meeting high-ranking decision-makers. The fair helped us a lot to network with potential customers." As well as having a stand, MBA Instruments also took part in the supporting programme. The conference agenda includes theoretical and practice-based presentations and workshops on topics such as dust control, power plant logistics or efficiency in pneumatic conveying. The full supporting programme is available online in the run-up to the fair at: www.powderbulksolidsindia.com.
International Powder & Bulk Solids Processing Conference & Exhibition
IPB China represents the entire spectrum of the process industry and accommodates the needs of the Asian markets in particular. The products on display at the trade fair range from processing technology for handling powder and bulk solids to pulverisers, mixers and separators as well as thermal and chemical processes. In addition, visitors to IPB can learn about the latest measuring and analysis technology, components for plant engineering, services and accompanying technologies.
In 2015 drew more than 7,100 visitors to Shanghai. The chemical and pharmaceutical sectors were particularly strongly represented, making up 34 and 13 per cent respectively of visitors, followed by the sectors food/feed (13 per cent), energy (9 per cent) and ceramic/glass (8 per cent). Exhibitors from 15 countries showcased their innovations to a highly dynamic market. The 14th round of the trade fair in 2016 will once again welcome a large number of major companies as well as mid-sized manufacturers and regional vendors.
Supporting programme features explosion protection and bulk solids innovations
For many trade visitors, the IPB is an ideal opportunity to add to their specialist knowledge. The fair is accompanied by numerous presentations and seminars, including the IND EX Safety Symposium on explosion protection in China. In addition, the InnoPowder & Bulk Solids Corner – a special area for the latest process technology and solutions – will make its debut.
Eight to ten selected exhibitors will have an opportunity as leading bulk solids suppliers to present their innovative products to industry professionals. This will make the special area a very appealing attraction at the IPB 2016. The IPB 2016 will once again take place in the modern and spacious Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Centre of International Sourcing (CECIS), where it had moved to last year.
