Engineering BIS Secures Big Orders Among Englands Process and Energy Industries

Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services' English branch was able to secure four contracts with major players in the UK's with a combined worth of nearly € 200 million, the company stated.

Munich/Germany – Industrial services provider Bilfinger Berger Industrial Services (BIS) books four prestigious orders in the UK: The company announced that its British subsidiary was selceted by four BIS Industrial Services Secures Prestigious Combined Service Contracts from UK’s Process Industry and Power Sector as their sole provider of industrial services across a number of important assets.

For Innospec Manufacturing, the company will provide a full range of maintenance services at sites in Ellesmere Port and Widnes. This 3-year contract worth € 9 million, is a further evidence of the excellent relationship already established with Innospec Manufacturing, BIS officials stated. BIS will employ up to 60 workers for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation engineering as well as scaffolding, insulation and painting. Other services, such as asbestos removal, will also be provided when required.

Four Big Names in England Trust in BIS Services

In Humberside, Lincolnshire, BIS will overhaul a refinery of American oil giant Conoco Phillips: The company's scope of work also includes scaffolding, insulation, painting and asbestos removal. Employing up to 200 personnel, this 4 year maintenance contract has a volume of over € 60 million and is strategically important to BIS operations in the East of England.

After a challenging tender process, BIS concluded a significant term maintenance contract award with EDF Energy at their Cottam and West Burton Power Stations in Nottinghamshire. The company regards this five–years, € 60 million contract as a significant step forward for BIS within the UK's power sector. In addition, the company will provide technical services for BP's Saltend Chemicals Park, Hull, East Yorkshire. The contract has a volume of € 70 million and is scheduled to start in May 2012.
