Fertilizers Billion–Dollar fertilizer project in North Dakota

According to local media, a one billion dollar fertilizer project is underway in the Grand Forks region in North Dakota. The proposed plant shall manufacture nitrogen fertilizers using gas from North Dakota oil wells, the Grand Forks Herald reports.

Grand Forks/USA – The facilities could – upon completion – supply fertilizer for 12 percent of grain production in the state. Currently, North Dakota's oil fields flare off roughly one third of gas byproducts.
