Actuators Auma Expands Actuator Portfolio
Auma introduces advancements to its actautor portfolio: The company has enhanced diagnostic features have been enhanced with a sensor incorporated into the actuator to measure valve vibration, indicating device failures and plant downtimes.
Other developments announced at ACHEMA 2012 include Functional Safety – SIL: applicable to Auma’s early product ranges, a new electronics module gives the company’s actuators SIL 3 capability. Further, the company has recently developed a better corrosion protection: Two-layer powder coating for housing parts ensures unique protection against all weather and environmental conditions. Company speakers state that the coating structure is outstanding for chemical and UV resistance, as well as offering protection from extreme mechanical impact. Regarding classification of diagnostic signals, Auma complies with available standards and signals are classified in accordance with NAMUR recommendation NE 107.
