From Aptis comes a new compact reological analysis device. The Granudrum shows, through the measurement of the avalanche angle, the effect of trapped air (positive or negative) on the behavior of studied granular material. The unit can be used like a traditional rheometer to determine physical data such as flow (viscosity), cohesion, yield point, thixotropy (hysteresis) or ventilation level, says the manufacturer. The coated test cell of the Granudrum can be used for a wide variety of test materials like ceramics, metals and polymers, but also for pharmaceutical and food applications with a capacity of 35 or 55 cm3. An analysis software is included.
