India: Automation ABB Expands Indian Footprint withInauguration of Global Business Service Center

ABB has recently inaugurated its Global Business Service Center in Bengaluru, India. The expansion demonstrates ABB’s confidence in the local talent pool to fuel growth and future opportunities in the country.

Bengaluru/India – When fully established in 2017, the center is expected to employ over 1,000 people. The new center, a continuation of ABB group’s consistent investments in the country, will be a part of its wholly owned subsidiary entity. It is also integral to ABB’s Next Level strategy and marks an important step towards building a state-of-the-art business service organization. The center was inaugurated by CFO, ABB Group, Eric Elzvik and CEO & Managing Director, ABB India, Sanjeev Sharma.

“The opening of the GBS center in India is a testimony to our commitment and confidence in partnering India’s growth story. India has always been a strategic market for ABB and this opening is an important milestone in making India a global hub for business services in the ABB Group. By simplifying and standardizing our processes, we aim to increase our effectiveness and efficiency, as well as build new platforms for growth,” said CFO and member of the Executive Committee of the ABB Group, Eric Elzvik.

“India is poised to benefit from its demographic dividend and Bengaluru is well-established as the IT and startup capital of India. ABB is known for its technology and product prowess and this center will project the business service expertise of ABB,” said CEO & Managing Director, ABB India Ltd, Sanjeev Sharma.
