Among the dynamic image analysis systems the patented 3D measurement method of Part An provides exact grain shape distributions. A result very close to reality is derived from the different orientations per particle. The analysis itself shows the difference between conventional 2D and 3D dynamic image analysis.

It can be operated in 3D as well as in 2D mode. Systems with multiple cameras can provide a broader measurement range under certain circumstances but, depending on the lower resolution of each camera not the improved shape information.

Device configurations are designed for laboratory as well as process applications (online measurement). The measurement range for dry material extends from 30 µm to 120 mm.
