Marchesini Acquires Pharma and Cosmetic Packaging Technology

Marchesini acquires pharmaceutical packaging technology from PRB, thereby expanding its technology portfolio with speciality solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.

Bologna/Italy – Wrappers, case packers and palletizers: Marchesini expands its packaging technology portfolio with speciality platforms for the pharmaceutical industry. The Italian company announced the acquisition of new pharmaceutical packaging technology from PBR. According to company speakers, this acquisition allows Marchesini to offer additional packaging platforms as highly integrated system solutions for pharmaceutical and cosmetic markets.

During a transition period, both companies will work together to provide sales information, customer support and service, officials stated. Marchesini expects to begin the production of machines with the new technology in late 2012. From march 1st on, the company offers After Sales services for PBR's pharmaceutical packers.
