Available to all laboratory managers and users of other material characterization techniques, this technical note provides a checklist of justifications for using ultrasonic analysis over other techniques such as FTIR, UV-VIS, NMR, Viscometry, Thermal Analysis and Rheology etc. The one-page document provides laboratories with the benefits of ultrasound, such as analysis of transparent, translucent and opaque samples. This is a major development for pharmaceuticals where non-destructive analysis of liquid and semisolid samples is a necessity.
