Electronic Power Units
A new and revised edition of the technical publication "Thyristor power units", which was very popular among customers and technical universities, has been released by M. K. Juchheim.
Entitled "Electronic Power Units", the work not only covers the basics of power electronics and the wellknown phase-control and burst-firing modes of operation, but also deals with amplitude control - a completely new functional principle for power units. Details of the technical functionality and application of electronic power units are presented in an easily understandable form for all users. Particular emphasis is placed on the technology of the new IPC power unit - based on IGBTs - and its application advantages. Tables are included to help readers with the selection and calculation of the power units they require.
