All available types of resistant steels (Worldwide 3/2001-332) This brochure provides an overview of available types and grades of corrosion and heat resistant cast stainless steels and nickel base alloys. It describes their metallurgy, mechanical and physical properties, corrosion and heat resistance, processing by casting, machining and welding, and gives some recommendations for a sourcing strategy. A comparison of cast and similar wrought grades is provided in tables. Typical applications are illustrated. The description of properties and chemical composition and the designations of the grades are based on the North American ASTM standards and the UNS system. However, for each grade the brochure indicates not only the various ASTM standards but also provides the corresponding designations and standard numbers of EN and DIN and other international standards. The brochure is available free of charge under the code number. |
