Membrana-Charlotte plans to issue new Liqui–Cell membrane contactors for degassing processes.
The new 8 x 40 and 8 x 80 contactors use ASME code rated reverse osmosis vessels for the contactor housings. Both sizes are rated to 300 psi. With combined NPT and Victaulic connections on the shellside, a stacked system with reduced footprint and weight is possible. The units are especially suited for seawater degassing, for example on offshore installations, the manufacturer states.
