Dr. Reddy´s Laboratories is the first Indian pharma company to improve it´s manufacturing processes by installing an electronic Manufacturing Execution System (MES). The MES PAS-X of Werum Software & Systems optimize the productivity of Dr. Reddy´s pharmaceutical shop floor processes.

Lueneburg/Germany - Dr Reddy´s Laboratories opted for Werum´s MES PAS-X to optimize the pharmaceutical manufacturing and the quality of its drugs.

The first step involved the installation of PAS-X at one of the company´s FDA and MHRA-compliant production facilities in Bachupally near Hyderabad. At first the PAS-X controls the Warehouse Management System, which include the receiving, samling and storing of materials. The System also performs the functions of Weighing & Dispensing and Equipment Management operations.

Using mobile terminals and barcodes, the MES coordinates the process for material tracking and tracing of containers as they travel from the warehouse to the dispensing area. An automated interface allows the system to communicate directly with Dr.Reddy´s ERP (SAP).
