Sipos Aktorik’s full system integration capability, including fieldbus competency, has been put to the test with its role managing the DCS commissioning of over 2,000 actuators at the Neurath power plant in Germany.
Sipos Aktorik's fieldbus technology has proven its worth with the commissioning of the DCS at the Neurath power plant in Germany, company officials explained. The installation is understood to be the industry’s first actuator application to integrate Profibus DP with V2 services for enhanced communication capability. Special focus was put on DP V2 redundancy functions; synchronisation of inputs / outputs and DP V2 time-stamping.
