High output, low profile

A new sanitary screener from Kason has significantly lower height requirements than the company’s standard models, thanks to its use of two side-mounted gyratory motors instead of a single motor positioned beneath the screening chamber. With the screener mounted on suspension brackets, the design also allows the inlet to be aligned vertically above the outlet. This keeps throughput high, because on-size material can travel straight through the screen and into a mobile collection vessel on the plant floor. Oversize material emerges from a spout at the edge of the screen. The Vibroscreen Flo-Thru model K24-1FT-SS is 610 mm in diameter and constructed of stainless steel finished to pharmaceutical standards. Loosening the quick disconnect clamp ring assembly that connects the top and bottom frame sections allows the screen to be readily changed, or the screener to be disassembled rapidly for thorough wash down. Elastomer balls that are free to vibrate against the underside of the screen help to prevent blockages.
