Process Worldwide-01-2010
Same, but different

Welcome to PROCESS Worldwide in a brand new outfit! This issue of our trade journal is the first to show off the new design complete with a modern layout and logo that is both short and, literally, to the point.
The makeover was preceded by months of intensive research, analysis and discussion in the course of which we bid farewell to some elements and created others, always with the aim of providing you with a more informative, more user-friendly journal. Strong visuals, clear organization and unambiguous aids to orientation — these are the salient characteristics of the new-look PROCESS Worldwide.
Take the new navigation bar provided with every article, for example. Thanks to this new feature, readers can see at a glance which industry is being addressed and whether the article is intended more for planners and engineers or more for
maintenance personnel. Also new are the PROCESS-Plus boxes offering more in-depth information whether in print, on the internet or packaged as an event or service.
Despite these innovations, there is one thing that has not changed: both as a magazine and as a website (www.process-worldwide.com), both as an events organizer and as a source of market surveys, PROCESS Worldwide will continue to supply you with a wealth of properly sourced, up-to-date information on the process engineering industry. The highlights in this issue include some still more powerful radar instruments for measuring filling levels (p. 18), a pump monitoring system that can also be used to measure volumes (p. 32), and a new approach to vacuum drying that reaches beyond the limits of the traditional vacuum paddle-wheel dryer (our cover story on p. 36).
Last, but not least, those with little time to spare will be pleased to see that we have retained our Business & Economics section meaning that PROCESS will begin as always with news from all over the world — the same, but different.
