Start-up of a New Distillate Hydrocracker at the Dalian Refinery

Dalian/PR China, Paris/France – Total has announced the start-up of a new distillate hydrocracker at the Wepec refinery in Dalian, in which the Group holds a 22.4 percent stake. Representing a total investment of $ 240 million, the new conversion unit increases the refinery’s annual diesel fuel production capacity by 40 per cent to 3.5 million metric tons, to meet the growing needs of the Chinese market for low sulphur products.
