Mixing, dispersing, de-agglomerating, wetting, granulating and coating - this machine can handle almost any basic mechanical operation. Development goals included short
mixing times, high mixing precision and a machine design that is integrated into the product flow.
In the mixing granulator from Gebrüder Lödige Maschinenbau, the individual components of a recipe are homogenized by a vertically mounted mixing apparatus and a cutting head with separate drive. They are then wet granulated in the same machine through addition of a binding agent. This method significantly improves mixing performance. A three-impeller mixing apparatus rotates in a vertical, cylindrical mixing container with close wall clearance and only a short distance from the bottom of the container.
