Integrated filter dryer delivers finer products

A new spray dryer that combines a number of different process technologies is more compact, generates less noise and uses less energy.
The integrated filter dryer (IFD) combines dryer, fluid bed and bag filter with a drying chamber. The result is a powerful spray dryer that produces free-flowing powder with very low dust content. The filters are mounted inside the drying chamber rather than in the standard external mounting position. This eliminates the need for external cyclones, bag filters or other separators, saving space and improving product quality. The pressure level required in the filters is low, and this saves on energy costs and reduces noise emissions.
