A new ball valve for industrial plastic piping systems

Just in time for Achema, Georg Fischer is launching its ball valve type 546. It will replace the type 346, which has been sold successfully around the world since 1986. The completely new design expands on the advantages of its predecessor and has several major new functions, which provide users with measurable added value and a number of benefits.
The demand for more compact designs is not new. Take the PRO-FIT fitting with its spigot/socket outlets, which was designed with this requirement in mind. The new ball valve type 546 is yet another product development with which Georg Fischer is able to conform to customers’ needs. The face-to-face length was reduced by up to 12% compared to the type 346, depending on the dimension series and the type of connection. So, it is now possible to build systems that are significantly more compact. System planning is also made easy with the new 2D/3D CAD product library, which is being introduced on the market together with the ball valve type 546.
