Reliable regulators
New pressure regulators provide accuracy and consistency

Three new lines of pressure regulators from Swagelok will find application across the process industries in sample conditioning, gas and liquid analysis, calibration and carrier gas delivery, instrument air and specialty gas pressure control.

The new regulators are of the pressure-reducing, back-pressure and vaporizing types. Swagelok’s ten new models of pressure-reducing regulators provide accurate, consistent delivery pressures to processes and equipment to reduce the likelihood of process variability and to protect sensitive equipment. The new range of back-pressure regulators includes five new models. They provide consistent back-pressure control in a variety of analytical and process instrumentation applications.
Both pressure-reducing and back-pressure regulators are available in piston and diaphragm designs, with captive inlet gauze filters and fine-pitch stem threads for precise control.
The piston-type pressure regulators are commonly used in analyzer zero/span gas control, sample handling systems, manufacturing processes and laboratories. Low internal volume allows rapid purging and limits the amount of surface area exposed to contamination. The design mechanically restricts the piston when the regulator is exposed to excess pressure.

The diaphragm-type pressure regulators feature an X-750 alloy diaphragm and a
leak-tight, metal-to-metal diaphragm seal. This mechanically robust design also helps maintain purity of the process media. Diaphragm-type pressure regulators are used in analyzer zero/span gas control, sampling systems, pilot plants, hydraulic and pneumatic test benches, research laboratories, and other systems.
The new vaporizing pressure regulators vaporize liquid samples or preheat gas samples. They are made from 316 stainless steel, with optional material traceability, in two models:
-The KEV series electrically-heated vaporizing pressure regulator is ATEX (CENELEC) and CSA certified for hazardous environments. The regulator is used to heat incoming gas samples or vaporize liquid samples, and operates with inlet pressures up to 248 bar.
-The KSV series steam-heated, vaporizing, pressure-reducing regulator has low internal volume and vaporizes liquid samples or preheats gas samples.
