Pumps & Valves primed for tenth anniversary

Antwerp/Belgium – The 10th Pumps & Valves trade fair will feature a new look when it takes place on 13–15 October 2004 at Antwerp Expo. In previous years, Pumps & Valves has been a product-based exhibition for manufacturers of pumps, control valves, shut-off valves, services and accessories. This time, however, the event has evolved into a meeting platform with an emphasis on transferring know-how and providing solutions.
Five months before the event, around 150 exhibitors had booked all the available stand space. “We have had to create a considerable amount of extra space to meet demand”, said Steven Duytschaever of event organizer Fairtec. Other innovations this year include a special category for companies concerned with maintenance, reflecting the growing visitor interest in this area. Visitors to the new Maintenance Circuit will be able to see various presentations and demonstrations, and will receive a special gift. The Service Village this year will be a modified version of the concept seen at Pumps & Valves 2002. The seminar program includes presentations from VIK, EHEDG (with a one-day Benelux Symposium for the food and pharmaceutical industry), Agoria and Bemas. The focus will be on innovation, new regulations and other topical matters.
