New alliance

Darmstadt, Leverkusen/Germany – Merck Life Science Products and Bayer Technology Services have agreed on a cooperation in the field of process chromatography. The cooperation reflects the
growing demand within the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries for customized full service solutions for separation procedures based on chromatography.

Both partners will cooperate closely on the development of customer-specific chromatographic production processes and ancillary systems. Under the terms of the agreement, both partners have committed themselves, under strict confidentiality, to evaluate specific projects according to the requirements of individual
customers. Within these projects Merck will use its
know-how and chromatographic sorbents to develop purification processes while Bayer Technology Services will use their know-how and
products to engineer and manufacture industrial scale separation systems and plants.
