Now up to 900 °C

Wahl Instruments has added a high-temperature model to its line of Heat Spy thermal imaging cameras. The new HSI3002 operates in the temperature range 200–900 °C.
It is targeted at the petrochemical, glass, cement, metal, and refractory industries. The device is affordable, light, compact, easy to operate, and powered by a long-life Li-ion rechargeable battery. Though designed for hand-held use, it features a tripod mount. The HSI3002 is fully radiometric, measuring the temperature of every pixel of its 160 x 120 pixel, uncooled microbolometer array. It displays real-time thermal images on a bright 3.5-inch backlit color LCD. The user may select from among four color palettes. It has a 20° x 15° field of view, and a trigger-activated laser to mark the spot at which the center of the display is pointing. Two independently-movable cursors provide absolute and differential temperature readings anywhere within the display area. Thermal images can be stored and manipulated using the supplied Easy Report software.
