Sartorius to double production capacity

Beijing/PR China – Sartorius has started up operations at the new plant at its Beijing location. By building the new plant, Sartorius has now doubled its production capacity in China from roughly a former 4000 to more than 8000 m²; an additional building phase makes it possible to even quadruple the floor space in the future. The investment volume for the new plant site is approx. € 10 million. “After we have already been highly successful with lab balances throughout a decade, our business with industrial weighing equipment is now also developing at a rapid pace. We are profiting from the high investments of global groups in China by covering their needs for weighing equipment in their on-site production processes,” said Dr. Joachim Kreuzburg, CEO and Executive Board Chairman. In China, Sartorius manufactures lab balances and selected product lines of its industrial weighing equipment.
