Cambridge/UK – Aspen Technology has announced a multi-year software license agreement with Aker Kvaerner. The agreement provides all Aker Kvaerner sites with access to a range of Aspen Engineering Suite products for simulation, optimization and design.
Bredbury/UK – Lubrizol has formed a broad alliance with Emerson Process Management to further optimize their plants with PlantWeb services and technologies. The goal is to make further strides in reducing process and product variation, to provide customers with more consistent, higher quality products, and to further drive costs out of the manufacturing processes.

Gothenburg/Sweden – The latest Saab Rosemount radar level gauge has now been approved for custody transfer in France. Laboratoire National D’Essais (LNE) has tested and approved the TankRadar Rex RTG 3940. This means that the level values from the radar gauge can be used for legal custody transfer instead of hand dipping.
Paris/France – SpecialChem and Milliken Chemical have entered into a partnership to accelerate the growth of selected Milliken plastic additives and help plastics professionals to design innovative products and reduce their time to market.
Gent/Belgium – The ninth edition of Ifest, the largest and most complete trade fair for environment, energy and safety at work in the Benelux, takes place from 19 to 22 October 2004. The key concept behind Ifest 2004 is eco-efficiency.
