Cool pumps for hot media
A new product on the heat transfer centrifugal pump market

Pump manufacturer Allheat has developed an excellent centrifugal pump for transporting heat transfer oil or hot water. This latest addition to the company’s product line handles heat transfer oil up to 350 °C and hot water up to 207 °C, in both all-round and heavy duty applications. The pump can easily be retrofitted.
A mean temperature in the medium of 340 °C, an ambient temperature of 40 °C, and on top of that a vibrationsensitive system as well - these are realistic operating conditions in heat transfer pump applications. The Allheat by Allweiler is just as much at home in this environment as in hot water systems running at 207 °C with frequent starts and stops. Numerous field tests have provided impressive evidence that the new centrifugal heat transfer pump is up to the task. It has been fully tested during more than 50,000 hours of continuous operation. But back to the beginning: the Allheat represents a logical progression that builds on the proven NTT series of centrifugal pumps for heat transfer oil and Alltherm for hot water and low viscosity, fully synthetic heat transfer oil. The essential feature of both models is the placement of the shaft seal behind a heat barrier and behind the rolling bearing on the pump side, which is lubricated by the pumping medium. This eliminates the need for external cooling of the shaft seal. The "newcomer" is based on the same concept. The slim, rib-free "neck" of the Allheat pump acts as a very efficient heat barrier, reducing ambient heat emission to a minimum.
