Explosion-Protected Emergency Luminaires for all Kinds of Weather

Emergency luminaires don't let you be kept in the dark - but the lights have to work in even the most rugged applications. Safety specialist R. Stahl now presents a newcomer to its Exlux LED portfolio with the emergency luminaires series 6009/1.

The units, which are explosion protected in dust hazardous and gas hazardous areas pursuant to ATEX and IECEx. They achieve a degree of protection IP66/67 and are impact resistant according to IK10. Suitability for temperatures ranging from -30 °C to +60 °C and effective measures against corrosion make universal applicability possible – from clean rooms in pharma or chemical facilities up to the harsh environments of the oil and gas industry.

The luminaires are certified pursuant to ATEX and IECEx and also pursuant to the national certificates in the key markets. To make world-wide application easier and to facilitate storage, the input voltages range from 110 to 240V in 50 or 60 Hz circuits. Easy through wiring has been provided for. Fed from a single battery, every Exlux 6009/1 ensures up to three hours of standard-compliant emergency lighting, pursuant to EN 60598-2-22 and EN 61347-2-7. The luminaires are available in two versions. The shorter version has a wattage of 28W and provides a luminous flux of 2440 lm. The longer variants with a wattage of 52W achieve 4980 lm. Even in emergency operation, 30% or 21% of these values provide adequate visibility.
