Linde's engineering division was selected to build a production plant for linear alpha olefins (LAO) in Nizhnekamsk,, Russia, based on the company's Alpha–Sablin technology.
Nizhnekamsk/Russian Federation – “The project is a major breakthrough for Alpha–Sablin and will strengthen our growing position in the market segment for linear alpha olefins”, says Florian Penner, Product Manager LAO at Linde Engineering. The plant is expected to go on stream in 2014. The Cost for the project remained undisclosed.
Plant operator Nizhnekamskneftekhim, a leading Russian petrochemical producer, awarded Linde Engineering contracts for technology license, basic/detail engineering and supply of equipment and materials for revamping its existing LAO plant.
