This year’s Analytica Anacon India, the famous trade fair for the users and decision-makers from the chemical, medical, food, environmental and pharmaceutical industries will be held in Mumbai from October 12 – 14.
Mumbai/India – Analytica Anacon India is changing venues in 2011 and moving from Hyderabad to Mumbai. In doing so, it is returning to its original location after a period of seven years. The industry has reacted positively to this decision – several international companies such as Agilent, Dionex, Millipore, Shimadzu and Thermo have already announced that they will participate in this year’s fair from October 12 – 14.
The fair will be accompanied by the 2011 Analytica Anacon India Conference, the theme of which is “Analytical Technologies – Innovations driving the growth momentum.” In general, the analysis industry plays an important role in the state of Maharashtra, due to India’s large population; the region has a strong position in food manufacturing and textile production. High-quality analysis equipment for reliable quality control is particularly high in these sectors. While explaining the decision to change the fair’s location, Susanne Grödl, Exhibition Director for Analytica at Messe München, said, “Mumbai is one of India’s most important economic centres. The Indian metropolis is home to a large number of primary consumers in the chemicals industry, the drug industry and the fertilizer industry, which makes it particularly attractive, especially for exhibitors that manufacture analysis and laboratory equipment.”
The President of the Indian Analytical Instruments Association (IAIA), S. Thyagarajan, also welcomes this step and sees in it potential for an increase in the number of visitors. Thyagarajan said, “The new trade-fair centre will not just attract visitors from industrialized cities in the state of Maharashtra such as Aurangabad, Nasik and Pune. We also expect participants from neighboring industrial states such as Gujarat and Goa.”
The Analytica Anacon India conference and the exhibition portfolio for analysis, laboratory technology, diagnostics and biotechnology, address one of the industry’s most important growth markets in Asia, i.e., India. The exhibition will be held from 2011 every two years at Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC) in Mumbai – the hub of the Indian biotechnology, chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
The list of visitors in the exhibition will include users and decision-makers from the chemical, medical, food, environmental and pharmaceutical industries as well as industrial and governmental research.
Analytica Anacon India is part of the international exhibition network that includes the exhibitions like – Analytica (Analytica 2012, April 17 – 20, 2012, Munich, Germany), Analytica China (autumn 2012, Shanghai, China) and Analytica Vietnam.
