943 exhibitors present trends in Analytics and Life Sciences at the Pittcon 2012 in Orlando, Florida. Once again, insiders expect that classic topics like spectroscopy and chromatographic methods account for the majority of the exhibition.
Orlando, Florida/USA – If the Pittconn will once again be struggling with sinking visitor numbers has yet to be shown. Some big players of the industry have, nevertheless, already taken measures and withdrew from the exhibition: Agilent does not attend the recent trade fair at all while other companies, like Thermo Fisher Scientific have significantly reduced their presence.
Despite these facts, the 943 exhibitors provide a broad overview over news and trends in analytics and laboratory technology. 113 new participants will be presenting their products at Pittcon 2012 for the first time. This year's exhibiting companies come from 29 countries, the majority of them from the US followed by Great Britain, Canada and Japan.
The organizers have once again included several special highlights into the exhibition's concept: New companies will be featured in a special area just as Life Sciences and LIMS have their own presentation space. This concept shall help the visitor to focus more efficiently on single topics, the organisers believe.
For the first time, Pittcon will have a Japanese pavilion with seven exhibitors as well mas seven participants in a so–called ICP-Alley.
Apart from new products and processes, Pittcon 2012 will also feature research activities of institutes, universities and operational researches: Visitors can get an overview over new developments and findings in two big poster exhibitions.
